New problems and issues arise every day in the criminal justice system including high levels of crime, violence in schools and workplaces, and an increasing number of offenders in the courts and correctional facilities. In order to develop solutions and responses to these situations, you need a good understanding of public policy, public administration, and the criminal justice system.

In partnership with the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, the Department of Political Science offers the master of public administration (MPA) with a criminal justice concentration. This degree is designed to prepare you for leadership roles in criminal justice and public administration agencies and provide a foundation for your doctoral degree.
