Our research and training ranks highly among
similar institutions nationwide, yet our programs goes far beyond the
traditional classroom experience. Ball State is well known for its insistence
that students receive hands-on, experiential learning opportunities and for its
commitment to share its expertise with the community at large.
That’s what our Neuropsychology
Laboratory and Psychoeducational Diagnostic
Intervention Clinic are all about. Their purpose is to serve
educational psychology students, the overall discipline of educational
psychology, and the needs of individuals across central Indiana.
The Psychoeducational Diagnostic Intervention Clinic
allows faculty and students the opportunity to offer low-cost psychological and educational assessments to individuals of all ages. While serving the community, the clinic also provides training for MA, EdS, and PhD students in school psychology, who work under the supervision of licensed health service providers.
Laboratory is a research and teaching facility which also provides an important outreach to the community at large. The lab assesses and treats neurological disorders and conducts research on brain mechanisms related to mental functioning. The facility supports neuropsychology coursework and serves patients referred by medical practitioners, public schools, and other agencies.
