Prospective Students

Ball State University's Teachers College has an outstanding reputation for preparing knowledgeable and skilled educators (from teacher to superintendents) who are well-equipped to meet the challenges of today's schools. All educator preparation programs meet the standards of the Indiana Professional Standards Board (IPSB). Twenty-three programs (more than any other Indiana university) have received national recognition from their respective professional organization. Ball State University is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Students enrolled in our degree, license, and certificate programs are engaged in schools from freshmen through the doctorate level. Educator preparation candidates are engaged in community service activities and in a variety of professional organizations. Students have access to a wealth of resources including well equipped facilities with the latest technology and are taught and mentored by exceptional faculty.

We encourage our students to challenge themselves to become outstanding educators and hold them to the highest standards. It is because of this that our graduates are highly regarded and recruited by school systems across Indiana and throughout the nation.
