Your first step in becoming a TCOM major is to complete the Ball State admissions application and select “Telecommunications” as your intended major. You can find more information about Ball State’s admission requirements and how to apply in our step-by-step guide.

When you are accepted to Ball State, we call you a “pre-TCOM” student. During your first year, you’ll complete the pre-TCOM core of five courses. You must receive a grade of C (2.0) or better in each course and have an overall GPA of 2.5 in the pre-TCOM core courses before applying to become a telecommunications major.
