Academic Record for Freshman Applicants from Chinese Institutions
Freshman applicants attending institutions in China must request official transcripts from the Ministry-authorized China Higher Education Student Information & Career Center (CHESICC) verification office. Transcripts sent directly from an institution or an applicant will not be considered official by Ball State.
Requests are processed by CHESICC and will be sent electronically to International Admissions at Ball State. You will not need to submit a paper copy of your transcript. Visit CHESICC to get started.
Applicants using CHESICC's service should have current transcripts sent immediately without waiting for their final transcript when they graduate or complete their final year.
Once students graduate, they need to request another CHESICC verification report of final transcripts to be sent to Ball State.
CHESSIC will provide verification for both the complete transcript (for applicants who have already graduate) and verification for incomplete transcripts (for in-school applicants).
After Step 2
- You will receive an email confirming that we received your documents and are reviewing your files.
- You will receive an email confirming your admission or denial to Ball State.
