Employment as an actuary has been consistently rated as one of the best jobs in America. If you want a career with an excellent work environment, employment outlook, job security, growth opportunity, and especially salary, then you should consider actuarial science. Actuaries are essential in our modern economy and have an integral role in helping people, companies, and governments achieve financial security and stability.
An undergraduate degree in mathematics, economics, or other field requiring courses in calculus and probability/statistics may give you the coursework required for admission to Ball State’s Master of Arts in Actuarial Science program.
Ball State has one of the few graduate programs in actuarial science in the United States. Our actuarial science faculty members are at the top of their profession. Three of our four faculty are Fellows, the highest professional actuarial designation, and have years of practical business-world experience. Our faculty members have participated on actuarial exam committees and will ensure you are prepared to sit for the early professional actuarial exams. When it’s time to seek an internship or job, you’ll be able to interview with some of the nation’s top employers at the Ball State campus.
Find more information about the Actuarial Science master’s program by contacting Gary Dean.
By attending this session, we will waive half of the cost of the $60 Ball State University Graduate School application fee. Once registered, you will receive more details about this offer.
