Indiana Public Radio proudly presents A Christmas Truce, an original piece written by Ball State University playwriting professor Tom Horan, on the Sursa Performance Hall stage on Friday, Dec. 15, at 7:30 p.m.
 
A Christmas Truce will be directed by Jennifer Blackmer, professor of theatre and associate provost for entrepreneurial learning at Ball State. Blackmer has directed several IPR Radio Dramas, including Gift of the Magic and A Christmas Carol.
 
Horan is the playwright-in-residence at Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis. His new radio drama,A Christmas Truce, will tell the story of a ceasefire on Christmas Day during World War I.
 
Attendees should arrive and be seated by 7:30 p.m. for the 8 p.m. live performance, and will be treated to a pre-program presentation by sound designer and veteran Foley artist Vanessa Theme Ament.
 
Michael Elliott, assistant professor of Musical Theatre and Dance at Ball State is the musical director. Music will be performed by Ball State University students.
