Public Safety Advisories
The university issues public safety advisories when students and employees need to know about incidents near campus.
The University Police Department
maintains a list of people prohibited from campus.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports
Federal law requires all
universities, including Ball State, to provide annual reports on certain statistics on crime and other public safety
Emergency Phone Numbers
There are several university offices and
agencies that can assist you during an
emergency on or near campus.
Ball State has a crisis management team dedicated to helping the public during emergencies. You may also review guidelines for what to do during specific types of emergencies.
Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention
We offer information on sexual assault prevention, as well as what to do and where to seek help after an incident.
Drug, Alcohol, and Tobacco Policies
Ball State has multiple policies outlining rules on the use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco on campus.
The University Police Department is an accredited law enforcement agency dedicated to serving Ball State’s campus. The department also offers assistance such as the Charlie’s Charter transportation service and bike registration.
