H. Bernie Boldt
Bernie Boldt was an active Ball State student—involved in Cardinal Corps, the Student Alumni Relations Team, and Sigma Chi Fraternity—before graduating in 1993 with degrees in finance and economics.
A career private equity investor, Boldt is president of Fischer Investments, LLC, in Zionsville, Indiana, and a director for MPI Corporation in Indianapolis. Previously, he worked as managing director of financial services firm, Monument Advisors, owned by Larry Wechter, ’77. Prior to his work at Monument Advisors, Boldt worked for Tony Schneider, ’80, at First Chicago Capital Markets.
Boldt joined the Ball State University Foundation Board in fall 2015, building on his investment in campus as a member of the Indianapolis CEO Group, Fellows Society, Leaders and Loyals, Cardinal Varsity Club, and Class Gift Committee. The recipient of the 2015 Miller College of Business Award of Distinction has supported students’ study abroad opportunities and returned to campus as an Executive in Residence and Dialogue Days speaker. He also served on the National Philanthropy Council from 2005-08, the Miller College of Business Alumni Board from 2005-11, and the Above and Beyond Campaign Development Committee from 2000-03.
Boldt’s wife, Monica (Pimmler) Boldt, ’94, and sisters Ruth Boldt, ’84, and Susan Richey, ’86, are also proud Cardinals. The Boldts live in Zionsville with their children, Abigail, Peter, and Charlie.
