Kenneth R. Briner
Kenneth Briner graduated from Ball State with a bachelor of science in industrial technology, in 1969.
After graduation, he served two years in the US Army, spending nine months in South Korea. After getting out of the Army in 1971, he went to work for Muncie Power Products, Inc. (then Muncie Parts Mfg. Co., Inc.). He started in the shop as a management trainee, but eventually progressed through different positions. Briner retired in December of 2011, after more than 40 years of service as senior vice president of operations, products, and marketing.
Briner and his wife, Peggy, have maintained a close relationship and have been supporters of the university for a number of years, closely following a number of BSU athletic teams. In 2011 he was elected to the Ball State University Foundation Board of Directors.
The Briners live in Muncie and have two grown daughters. Beth is a Ball State graduate who lives in Indianapolis. Susan lives in Straughn, Indiana with her husband and five children.
